1WC Thoughts on week 3

Steady as she goes.  I can't say I did anything interesting this week, and my thoughts on the whole deal haven't changed much.  I will say, I'm starting to miss the option to wear other watches in certain situations.  I have better watches for the pool.  It might be nice to sweat in another watch.

Which brings up my only complaint about this watch.  Yes, it turns my wrist a little green after prolonged, sweaty wear, but I'm ok with that.  The complaint, and I can't see any way around this, is that the bracelet gets a bit stiff as it starts to patina.  I've done enough hand washing and fondling of this watch to keep the patina to a minimum, but when it starts to build up the bracelet links don't move as freely.  This isn't noticeable when it's on the wrist, but when I take it off to gaze adoringly and fondle it (in a completely appropriate way), I can feel the links moving more stiffly.  But let's be honest here, that's a tiny comlaint.  It's a great watch, and I'm very happy with it.  That said, I'll be trying something different strap wise starting tomorrow.

So.  Onward to week 4.  I imagine we'll have a list of who's left in this thing shortly, and I don't expect anyone to drop out this late in the game.  I guess the judges will have their hands full figuring out who the winner is.

What might get me is camping in a place with no service in a week.

Having the photos will be the key. The top ten are going to be equally stubborn.

If we ever do this again we will change some rules. Imagine one strap or bracelet.  That would end some people after three days.

That sucks, I wanted to beat everyone fair and square.  Hopefully you can get a signal once a day.😀

Too true, there would need to be more rules to make things difficult.  But man, I love the idea of how hard it is for people to go a full 30 days without changing watches.  I'll need to give more thought to what that says about the human condition.

I'm actually just doing my first strap change now, but I could have made it another week.

We each have our strengths, and at top 20 you outlasted a lot of people.

For me the end of this will come either when I forget to post one day, or because I'm just not this kind of person...

I'm no less in love with this watch now than I was at the start of all this. I mean look at now much better it looks than all your watches 🤷

It’s not even green.  The bronze will get there eventually but this won’t.

Sure her watch will never turn green, but let’s try not to rub it in too much.

True, my watch will never be green... but neither will my wrist... so I'm ok with that 😉
