I’m not sure that there is a clear line between some ranges or pieces in Omegas collections.
The Railmaster is an oddity, highly competent and really well specced with a great movement, sure - but not popular.
I mean it has elements in the range that overlap with the AT, the SM 300 and those are arguably hotter right now.
I’d buy almost all other Seamasters over this one. It’s partly the denim version that puts me off the range! (I am no Omega hater… my daily wear is the 2018 SMP 300m diver).
Does Jeremy Clarkson still wear one? Despite that reference, I suspect that it is because the Railmaster is a tasteful watch that it has not caught attention. People love garish and trashy stuff.
You'd think the name would be a hit with watch nerds, as trains are (okay, were) mechanical wonders that should appeal to the same crowd.
I agree it's an underrated piece. Denim, in my opinion, is a pretty fitting dial texture since there are alo plenty of vintage watches with linen dials, but it also just fits the image of rail workers wearing denim to withstand their work.

It's a great looking watch, nice blue dial easily readable, what more could you ask for, definitely going in my bucket list of watches
The Railmaster is my number two grail watch. I love it.

I’m not a fan of the dial or strap aesthetic on the Railmaster. I would buy one that had a more vintage aesthetic.

Exactly. Denim is horrific. Champagne dial would work for me.
