Seiko 5 was my gateway drug as I ditched smartwatches to be a little bit less connected.
Q: What was the first watch you ever owned?
A digital watch when I was around 7, which looked a lot like a G-Shock. You could open the watchface and eat bubble gum out of it.
The first real watch was a soviet Montana (Casio Illuminator ripoff) that my grandpa gave to me and my brother. It had 16 melodies as wake up alarms, which drained the battery rapidly.
