Recently, one of our members asked a great question. I had posted a #WRUW shot, and I named the post. It was a Thursday, and I was posting a Titanium...
I don't think it's official or anything. I mean, there are lots of ways to state days of the week alliteratively. Personally, I tend to mix it up, and sometimes I use obscure ones, just to fit the watch I'm wearing that day. That being said, there are a few "days" that a lot of people use. Here are some I know of, but this is not a comprehensive list, and anyone can make up their own:
Blue Monday (This actually comes from the song, it's not alliterative and I don't know why it's a thing, but it is)
Speedy Tuesday (This was created by the founder of Fratello for the Omega Speedmaster, and there is no good rationale for it, TBH.)
Titanium Tuesday (I might use this sometimes when I want to rotate out of my speedmasters. It's boring for me if I share the same watches all the time)
Tissot Tuesday (I use this when I want to show a Tissot that doesn't fit elsewhere)
White dial Wednesday (I use this a lot because I have a lot of white dial watches, and it just fits. I don't tend to see other people using this, so I don't know if it's actually a thing.)
Tudor Thursday (I use this sometimes when I want to showcase a Tudor)
Titanium Thursday (I use this sometimes when I want to showcase a titanium watch)
Tissot Thursday (same thought as Tissot Tuesday above)
Flieger Friday (This one is pretty common, and I use it when I showcase my flieger or pilot watches)
Field Watch Friday (I use this when I want to show a field watch instead of a Flieger)
Seiko Saturday/Sunday (I don't know if these are a thing, but I use them sometimes)
There are others, and honestly there's no rule. These are just some of the more common ones I've either seen or used. I hope this answers your question. Thanks for the comment!
So, I've never done a State of the Collection post before, but I have a large collection of watches - many of which are iconic pieces. I have almost 60, ranging from a super inexpensive Casio A168 to...
