I think either would work, depending on your taste. But I'm a rectangular guy so the Longines Dolce Vita. A rectangular watch is not only a, ahem, better dress watch, having one adds diversity and distinction to a mostly round collection. Just a thought.

Interesting. So far, everyone has picked the Longines. I do love Longines, but I don’t find myself gravitating toward the rectangular watches myself. This really is just a personal preference issue and it comes down to what you like and what you’ll wear.
Depends on which category the watch would fill? And how the rest of the collection looks like. In general, I think the safer bet would be on Dolce Vita.
Both are top notch dress watches, but so different. It really comes down to if you want a square or round style dress watch. I probably would lean Junghans because of how nice they are in person, photos don't do it justice.
100% for the Longines. I don’t think of the Max Bill as a dress watch. I’ve often considered adding one. It’s a great casual watch but having a white dial doesn’t necessarily make it a dress watch, imho. I feel the same about Nomos. Great casual watches but I wouldn’t consider them a dress watch either.
I’ve got a 6.25 inch wrist. Maybe the ladies would be good for me?
This one fits my 6” wrist quite well 🙂 , like Cartier also I don’t think anyone would bat an eyelid at you wearing a smaller so called “ ladies watch “ 🙂

Tough one, but the Longines is really remarkable. I own a Max Bill but I do want the Longines, too.
Both have unique designs however I would personally go for the Dolce vita as Bauhaus design isn’t personally my thing.

Longines Dolce Vita
I recuse myself due to my strong disdain for German watches that I feel are deliberately ugly.
Dolce!!!
