Thank you! :) I don’t have a whole lot of watch nerd pals in my social circles to share my builds with so hearing from fellow watch nerds is always heartening :)

Aww I’m sorry to hear that, I was just curious to see how everything worked inside! It was a $10 movement and I had no intention to put it back together but I did! Let me see if I can find the photos :)

I’m gonna say Hamilton and Seiko, specifically the Seiko 5 line.

Seiko 5 will always have a special place in my heart.

Being relatively new to watches, I think the seiko 5 line is the perfect gateway for people such as myself to get into the hobby without breaking the bank. I got into this amazing hobby whilst still being a student. Money was tight and the seiko 5 line will always have a special place in my heart!  It let me get a taste of the heritage and be a part of this larger community.

To know I had something mechanical on my wrist was wondrous and enchanting at the same time. But more importantly, it was the knowledge that the technology on my hand was next to centuries old and still useful today.

My own Seiko 5 SNKL41 was a graduation present to myself I bought with 2 months of savings from my pocket money as a student. I wear it to work everyday and I enjoy it deeply!
