2) my first watch I bought to own a watch, got it while also buying our wedding rings.
3) my watch I bought while visiting home after not being there for 10 years and it being my first automatic watch.
4) the watch I bought to replace a watch my grandfather gave me for my wedding that got lost... It's a watch to remind me of my foolishness and stupidity and carelessness and help me not to be that way anymore.
All of which are more important to me that any grail watch that will mean very little if I had to trade something precious for it.
Never. My most treasured watch marks the beginning of a relationship with my watchmaker, who is such a wonderful mentor and was the one who believed in me from the beginning. Without his help, I would have never learnt how to service a mechanical watch. Like any person, he won't be around forever, and I have no watches with as much sentimental value as the Camy he sold me on December 31st 2022. I won't forget that day.
would I trade my Hamilton Khaki for a Breguet type XX ? I really love my field watches... but at least a Hamilton is affordable, while I can't afford a 20k watch, so I could buy it back, so yeah let's switch!
Hard No. They Always Say Never Sell your first Luxury Watch. I have too many Memories held with My SMP Quartz. 12 Years now. I suppose it needs a Service and Refurb From Omega.
Proud sasquatch-kin of the exclusive Hairy Wrists Club. I'm a big fan of vintage ana-digi's and I also enjoy fixing up faulty quartz watches, both analog and digital.

Well my most treasured is my SM300, & the ultimate grail is Buzz Aldrin's Speedy. I'm certainly up for the swap if he is.... 🤣
I don't have one treasured watch but 4.
1) from my Wife's grandfather who's 96 years old.
2) my first watch I bought to own a watch, got it while also buying our wedding rings.

No. It's your most treasured watch a Grail on your wrist?

My most treasured watches are an Oyster Precision and arrowhead Constellation that my parents wore constantly on their wrists, so no.

My most treasured watch is one my wife gave me for a wedding anniversary, but it's worth zero monetary value.
But if someone was to offer me a trade for a Speedy 3594.50, I would take it.
The wife is very practical and if I added the engraving on the current watch to the caseback on the Speedy, the sentiment would carry over.
I'm likely different than others; but yes, I would.
