The Water Champion

I've been in the market for a blue-dialled diver for a while now and, of the many options available, this Edox Hydro-Sub really spoke to me.

Firstly, it's a bit different (which I love!), but has other important stuff too: COSC-certification, 300m water resistance, sapphire crystal (with AR coating), ceramic bezel, nice and slim, some solid provenance and a date at 3 o'clock which also retains a lume plot (take note, Seiko).

My early thoughts are that the bracelet is pretty dainty by modern standards (presumably similar to the '60s original) but on the whole, I love it. It only arrived yesterday, so I'll spend some good time with it over the next few weeks and will attempt a review when my opinions are fully-formed.

I love that dial. It's so different from the rest of the divers out there. Awesome watch.

Great dial and I love the case shape.

YES! The seconds hand could have been lifted straight from that ChronOris.  The case shape is reminiscent of my Farer too. Think I might have a "type"... 😀

Gorgeous watch, nice choice. Your right Edox do things a bit different, and thats good in a market saturated with samey looking products.

·

Just checked their website some nice watches

How are you liking it a few weeks later? I’ve been offered a good deal on one ( black dial) and am very tempted

I'm still loving it. I've tried it on a couple of other straps as the end links on the bracelet add to the actual lug-to-lug measurement, which looks a little awkward from some angles on my scrawny wrist.

It looks killer on a tropic-style (I got the Baltic one and it's such a snug fit it almost looks like it's fitted!) but I do have a strong preference for MN-type elastic straps, so it was always going to end up on one of those.

Looks great. What size wrist are you? Trying to decide if it would be too big for me.

This one veers a little too far into the 1970s vibes for my tastes, but I'm happy that you're enjoying it!
