Is the speedy too big for my wrist?
Hello everyone.
So I'm pretty obsessed with the speedmaster professional and am super close to purchasing it.
The only thing is, is the speedy pro too big for my wrist? I have small wrists and am used to 40mm watches like the old subs. I looked at alternatives such as FOIS and speedy reduced, but it just doesn't have the same feel.
So, from the looks of it, is the speedy too big or am I able to pull it off? I plan on wearing it on a nato strap. Any comments/ opinions would be appreciated. Thank you!

Looks fine to me. The lug to lug is round 47mm and it looks you manage that just fine. Even if the assymetric case is 42mm the dial including bezel i more like 40mm. It is more about how you feel with it on your wrist.

Like @YourIntruder says I think it looks fine on your wrist. I sometimes feel that a NATO can make a watch feel larger as it can make s as watch seem thicker depending on how you wear it. A 2 piece strap might help, but again that’s really up to how you feel with it. A strap will definitely feel lighter.

Maybe visually but with a Nato you build height. I think a 2 piece strap would do that job better. The new bracelet is doing a great job by not adding to the lug to lug. I decided for the hesalite version as it felt as a thinner case back and sat better on my wrist.

If you like the look and feel, get it!
