IWC Mark XX Black or Blue dial?

Thinking of selling my GO PanoMaticLunar and get a Mark XX. My GO after 3.5yr with not much wear seems a little too formal for my taste now. Between t...

After getting the Pelagius 39 which I am really in love with at the moment; and coming back to this post I think some of your recommendations are truly timeless/classic. SEAQ (hope is to have a little more power reserve); Polaris 41mm no date (looking forward for JLC to offer a green lacquered dial); the 38mm Bathyscaphe (wish they come out with a grade 23 titanium version like their 42mm offering). Any of these could become my next watch!

My first luxury watch is the GO PanoMaticLunar that I got in 2019. I since have shifted my interest from dressy to sporty watches. I might have got myself that 39.5mm SeaQ green dial in the same AD if I could choose again. SeaQ just came out when I was shopping around. For some reason at the time it didn’t click with me.

Some thoughts about why Seamaster 300 Bronze Gold is the front runner of my next watch.

Both my watches have a date window(s) at 4:30 already. I don’t think I want a diver that has a date window anymore. If it does, please be not at 4:30 anymore.

Regarding case material, I have a steel and a titanium, a new material/color case would be a cool addition.

regarding movement, I have got a 4Hz and a 5Hz movement, 3.5Hz coaxial would be a cool addition.

then there is the sandwich dial and 300meter WR,…

it’s been stuck in my head ever since I saw it on Hodinkee and WatchAdvisor. Other than the not very impressive lume, everything is done to perfection. Definitely on my wish list.

These are some of the hottest seiko I have seen. Not sure if I want another watch that has the date window at 4:30. Guess if I can pick I wouldn’t even want it on my zenith revival. Not the biggest deal breaker for me. I am tempted to add SLA055 on my list now.

I prefer a vintage diver inspired look that SEAQ, Polaris or Bathyscaphe simply doesn’t deliver. Regular 50 fathoms are too big for me. If Blancpain come out with a production version that’s around 40mm (like the Barakuda) it’ll be on my wish list.

First time hearing this brand/model. Looks hot and will do some homework on it now.
