Best blue dial for about 1000$

Hello fellow crunchers,

started into the watch universe just a week ago. Got my first ever automatic watch, a longines hydroconquest.

Now its time for a blue dial for me, what can you recommend, whats your favorite, whats the eye catcher right now.

Let me know, thank you a lot and have a lovely end of 2023 and a good start into 2024 ๐ŸŽ†

It depends first on what kind of watch you're looking for, really. Are you looking for another diver, or Gada, or a dress watch, etc? Blue and black are the most common colours, so you have a lot of choice.

I'd recommend you take your time and in the meantime, enjoy your Longines whilst you shop around.

Don't overlook the microbrands or pre-owned too. At your $1000 price point they generally offer a bigger bang for your buck than the mainstream brands. Christopher Ward comes to mind, for example.

If it's just a straight up awesome dial you're looking for to add colour and variety, Seiko is probably your best mainstream bet. Say what you like, they know how to do amazing dials...

Here are my blue dials all great and other than the Le Jour and Norqain all under 1000.

A preowned Monta Noble would be my choice. Great fume look with a darker edge that blends lighter as you get to the center of the dial. Great SW-300 movement and awesome bracelet with great microadjust in the clasp. Can be found preowned all day in the $900-$1,200 range.

This Cristopher Ward is the watch that made me a blue dial lover. You cant beat the price for this look IMHO.

Iโ€™d consider a CW Sealander if your after a SS sports watch. Well finished case and super bracelet with on the fly micro adjustment.

The Mido ocean star tribute is a good choice for a diver. I like the polished case and the mesh bracelet is very nice as well. Totally different from your Hydroconquest.
