2022 SOTC

Attached is a photo of my modest collection, I think it covers all aspects of my life and I don’t plan on making another purchase for the time being, the watches from right to left are:

  1. a vintage Vostok I'm restoring myself (not done yet, will update in a seperate post), bought it at a flea market completely broken, fixed the movement, cleaned the dial, set the hands correctly and cleaned the case, still need to replace the crystal and to find a donor watch with a new seconds hand
  2. Dan Henry 1973 blue dial limited edition (number 39), bought it a few months ago, it’s a mecaquartz chronograph with a gmt bezel and honestly it’s just a great watch, not much to it
  3. Sinn U50, my most recent purchase and most expensive one, fall in love with the design a few months ago and bought it on a recent vacation with family, it’s in my opinion the ultimate go anywhere do anything watch and I love it
  4. Orient ray 2, bought it about a year ago, needed a beater and it was amazing for the price I paid ($130), its good looking, tough as nails and has 200 meter water resistance, the bracelet is meh and it has a mineral crystal but I don't mind it
  5. Hamilton khaki field auto 38mm, it was my first watch, my mum gifted it to me on my 18th birthday, it’s been with me on hikes, holidays, interviews and it is my most worn watch, I don’t see myself ever selling it, great piece all together
  6. its a gshock, my brother bought it for himself when he served in the military, and now that I’m joining the military (in February), he gave it to me

i also had an Apple Watch but I never wore it so I gave it to my girlfriend when she asked for it (ironically she still mostly wear her Casio)

that’s basically it, a year and a half of collecting and getting into the watch hobby, I love it, it’s mine and every piece in this collection has stories to it

thank you for reading, cheers
