Timegrapher app on Android - Good or bad?

Well, did any of you guys try this? It works by listening to the watch with the phone's mic. You put it next to it on a flat surface, and when there's not too much ambient noise, it picks up the beat rate and begins measuring the error rate.

Seems to run ok, but I don't have the proper equipment to validate the results.

I use a similar app that works the same way. I have only compared it with the results from a real timegrapher for two watches when I was at a friend's who has a timegrapher. Those two results were pretty much spot on - could be coincidence though.

The environment should be quiet, the mic should be close to the watch.

Nice info. Whats the app name? Is it also avaible in ios?

I played with something like this called Tickoprint. It seemed to help to toss a dry wash cloth over the watch and microphone to muffle outside noises, as it was way too sensitive to them, which gave totally erratic results. I never fully trusted it and always confirmed with a more lengthy time observation.

I run on the different app called Watch Accuracy Meter, but it is quite difficult to do with Divers

I found two apps, Timegrapher and Watch Accuracy Meter. The second one is free to use and shows beat error as well as error rate. The first one only shows error rate in the free version.

No clue about iOS versions, you're on your own there.

Watch accuracy meter is the one I have, haven't tried the Timegrapher app.

I have the Watch Accuracy app and Watch Check. Both are free. I think the Watch Accuracy app works pretty well, and it'll give you the info then and there. The Watch Check app has you make your time measurements to compare with the GPS and NTP time. After several checks (once a day), you'll get a reading of how many seconds a day it loses or gains.

I use "Watch Accuracy Meter" and I'm impressed for a free app, haven't tried this one yet but looks to be a similar app.

Maybe I should've read a few comments before replying..lol..
