Did anyone knew PRX stands for: Precise / Robust and a roman 10 as in 10ATM of water resistance?

I call mine Pricks

At least we know what they stands for. I mean, until now we can't know for sure what the '5' means in Seiko 5.

Well Josh, with all that said I'll have to call this Seiko S then.

Yes I knew that. Tissot should have added a B for โ€œboringโ€ or at least an O for โ€œordinaryโ€. PROXโ€ฆ

Exactly my point, why ignore these attributes in a watch that they planned to name under Seiko 5? Not all Seiko 5 has daydate, not all Seiko 5 has recessed crown at 4, not all Seiko 5 is using bracelet. That SSA333 alone doesn't have 3 of the attributes out of the 5 for a Seiko 5 yet is still branded under Seiko 5. How can we be sure of which features are the true features that makes a Seiko 5 if Seiko themselves don't have a clue about it?

I myself don't dare to tell my friends these 5 things are exactly what made a Seiko 5, Seiko 5.

Ah, got ya. I must have misunderstood your first post.

Who knows? Maybe Seiko just lost their way and abandoned the original idea. Kept the name.

That sounds more logical to me. Putting their indecisiveness aside, I do love the Seiko 5 more than the PRX though. They're just better value for money to me, at least for now.

Itโ€™s in every commercial from Tissot. So yes.

And none of these words applied to my sh**-pieces Iโ€™ve got from that watchโ€ฆ

That would be a Seiko 4

Yes

I did not know that, thanks for sharing๐Ÿป

Didn't know that about the X. Interesting

I love mine, itโ€™s the blue quartz. However I keep thinking why I didnโ€™t get the green one or the automatic. But I think what I like the most are the flat surfaces and the bracelet, so quartz is fine. Just a bit boring over time I guess. Maybe get the green ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ

I highly prefer the quartz over the automatic. First because of the plastic parts on the automatic un-serviceable movements, and second because of the slightly brushed dial in the quartz models, they look so clean.

The recessed crown is not always the case. SNXA models for example have the crown at 3 oโ€˜clock. But letโ€˜s not be picky otherwise water resistance and durable bracelets are questionmarks as well :)
