Is it okay to love Timex watches?

Great watches. Around for over 100 years and USA based the whole time.

My first watch was a Timex and I still buy them 60 years later.

Timex are good looking watches, and they are looking fine but, most of their design are copy of other brand and overall they are also a bit overpriced 😢

There’s nothing wrong about loving a watch brands just keep it 💪💪💪

This one is basically an Hamilton Khaki Field

This one has the hand strength copy from an Seiko SKX

This one is a wannabe Casio G-Shock

Timex makes great watches that don't get enough love in the watch community. Influencers push Casio as the only affordable watch maker worth buying, creating a weird groupthink regarding quartz watches.

Timex Weekender bought 3 months ago. Hands stopped moving, no backlight. Still ticking... Sent back for repair. Could be a battery but it was still ticking.

My other Timex bought at similar time is still going well and I like it a lot!

Yes. They have real history. I have a soft spot for them as my dad wore Timex and my first watch was a Timex.

Timex seem to be knocking it out of the park at the moment. Way more interesting than casio in my opinion. I just happened to be wearing my old timex today from when I was at school 15 years ago! But I think it's cooler now than it was back then...

Huge soft spot for Timex; they basically got me back into watches around 15 years ago. I have one tucked away in my closet with a lot of great memories.

Yes rock a Timex. I do and I have the usual Rolex and Omega in the watchboxes too. The Expeditn North Titanium is my daily go to. The Q line is cool. Great brand long timers in the biz, so doing something right.

I have had several Timex and have a few minor bones to pick. On the two Q series I’ve owned, when setting the minute hand jumps just a tiny bit when you push the crown back in making the hand and index unaligned. Bad for my watch OCD.

My automatic Marlin is a looker too but lacks hacking which hits the same OCD lunacy. These aren’t big issues and wouldn’t bother a sane man but they get to me enough that I’ll pass on the brand for the most part.

There are some awesome designs in that Q line though.

It is, I love it! Heavily rolex inspired but they probably have to be a bit careful there. I'll message you a link. It's a person in Hungary that sells them. Took a while to get to UK but worth the wait

I love Timex. I do wish they would go in house movements as I’m not a super fan of miyota or whatever else they use, but they do have nice watches but a bit overpriced I feel for their movements.

I own two Timex watches!! They are great budget watches from a well respected brand. Lately, they have been making bangers!!! These two were my love at first sight watches
