Seagull 1963 (40mm model)

Hi! I am very interested in buying the Seagull 1963 soon. I saw it in the website www.seagull1963.com. Is this a good place to buy it? I read somewhere that it's one of the legitimate resellers.

Thoughts on this? Thank you!

Jody has done a bunch of videos about the various 1963's and their legitimacy and authenticity on his Just One More Watch YouTube channel, I'd start there for information

I bought mine from that website.

I think that website makes a lot on paranoid purchasers. There are many vendors through AliExpress that you can get a legit 1963 for almost half that. 38mm or 40mm, saphire or acrylic with a price range around $150 to 210. Ihere are some below $100, that are not based on an ST1901 movement, but rather quartz. Don’t buy one with a closed case back, else it’s likely not an ST1901

Same here. I paid about $165 for the 40mm sapphire version, even came with a leather strap.

Sea-Gull is the original brand but theirs are a little more expensive and probably serviced better. The swan neck version is the best for accurate regulation

You can even get a crap quartz version
