I visited my jeweler today, and left with an impulse watch
I was shopping for my wedding band, and my jeweler and I got to talking about watches. He said they had a few watches on clearance, so I happily took a look. I found this Hamilton Khaki Navy Scuba (Quartz) for only $279, about half off MSRP. They even gave me a Hamilton umbrella!
It may be quartz, but I think it fits perfectly in my collection as this is my first dive watch. Hell, it’s my first Swiss watch if you don’t count my Moonswatch. For this price I was blown away with the quality. It has 100m water resistance, screw down crown, sapphire crystal, solid end link bracelet, and a milled clasp. I am very happy with the finish quality, and I’m glad I found this deal.

A lot of people (anecdotally) complained about the 100M WR for these versions of the Scuba, but I think it 1. fits the name Scuba very well and 2. 100M is more than enough for most people anyway 😂 Congrats on a beautiful watch.
Thanks everyone. I was a little skeptical about the quartz at first but im really falling in love with it. Another thing I forgot to mention, the size is only 37mm, so it fits my small wrist perfectly.
I was looking for a dive ’style’ watch for my collection, and I was leaning towards the Seiko 5 GMT. Now I think I’ll wait for some micro brands to produce something a little bit more interesting.
I've been looking at a version of this watch (the blue and white 37mm) at if I could find it for half off I would snap it up immediately :) I think you're going to be very happy with this.
Total bargain, i think this model is one of the best Hamilton do, and don't worry about it being Quartz. I have 8 watches, the only Automatic I have is an Omega Planer Ocean that's cost more than its new price in services and new straps. Hope the wedding goes well.

Thank you my friend. Now I have 3 quartz and 2 automatics, so next one has to be automatic! It is nice that there is no date complication so I really can ‘set it and forget it’. I look at it as a tool watch that I won’t ever have to fuss with, and that I do like.
