I owned and used my dad's watches when I was a kid and in secondary schooling; later on, I realized watches are fun to look at - especially the mechanisms and stories it can, potentially, hold.
I am also intrigued with watchmaking, as a whole. How wheels work together in relative harmony to keep time.
Q: What was the first watch you ever owned?
My first real watch was a Swatch chronograph.
Q: Do you have a watch with a particularly interesting story behind it?
Yes, I have a lot to share.
Q: What is one piece of advice you have for someone just getting into watches?
Buy what you want but research well. Do not dive head first in vintage watches. Learn how to be a smart buyer. Buy the seller or dealer and do not be a snob.
Also, learn what "type" of watch nerd you are to avoid (or minimize) finanicial losses so you can buy more watches. Franken watches are not worth it.
Q: What brands have been getting your attention lately?
Vintage timepieces, especially UG, Omega, GP, and Eterna watches.
