PanoMaticLunar with a salmon dial???

If you're like me, you're a big fan of GO's PanoMaticLunar. It's a grail watch for me, in blue or white. However, I was this week old before I found out they issued 50 of these lovelies in a salmon dial variant in 2019. They call it Rose Opaline, and it was available only in boutiques.

I've never seen a single one of these on the resale market. As I said, didn't even know it existed.

Has anyone ever seen one of these in the metal? Tried one on? Even (good lord) bought one? Would love to hear thoughts on this hard-to-find watch. Thanks.

wow it's beautiful...

I visited kirchhofer in Interlaken, Switerland, today to pick up my other watch and tried the white dial. I must admit the craftsmanship is remarkable, it is now added to my wish list (in my head haha).

Ooh the dial on yours looks textured and sandblasted. Haven't seen this one before. Very cool. Such an underrated watch that deserves more attention - sadly, people like to compare this to the lange 1 as the budget version. I had similar thoughts at first but after owning this watch for over a year now it's really hard to see the two in the same light. I think the GO pano is much more elegant and minimalistic in terms of the dial and in fit. A dress watch that imbues pure class! ❤

What color do you have? Do you find yourself wearing it often? General thoughts as an owner?

I have the standard panolunar in blue. It is my first and most prized watch. I don't wear it often as I like purely for safe keeping reasons and not wanting to wear it out for daily use. It is a lot more versatile than I first imagined however and I'll wear it as much as I can whenever I go out/client meetings for work even with casual outfits. I wear it at least once a week but definitely not my most worn watch or my 2nd most worn watch.

I have the green and it remains the nicest movements I own. Absolutely loved the watch. You are right, the salmon is a rare thing, but my bet is if you check with an AD, like Toppers, they may be able to track one down.

Cheers, thanks. I'm actually heading to Topper in April, so I'll be sure to ask.

I love the Panomatic lunar but I feel like the salmon in combination with the blue hands doesn't quite fit the intent of the watch

Oh I’ve never seen that before either. What a lovely dial. I almost grabbed a silver panomatic lunar. I was considering a 60s Ltd edition senator as well but at the time grabbed a Breitling Navitimer.

If I had the disposable funds right now I’d probably have a green version but wow that salmon is delicious!

Definitely!!!

It's funny: both of the comments above encapsulate my thoughts on the salmon variant. I love a salmon dial. And I love the pano collection. Somehow I'm not 100% convinced on this version of that watch, though. Perhaps it's like simonswatch said, the combination of the dial/hands doesn't quite fit. I'd sure love to see one in person to test that theory, though.

I have not seen this dial in person, but my bet is that it looks better in person, GO is too good at dials for it not to. Good luck getting a Pano for yourself in the future, mine is the watch I pull out for nice events.

Wow - gorgeous watch!

Had I seen it, I would have bought it.

Bad luck for those of us who missed out, and congrats to anyone who was able to get one.

Thanks for posting this.

I bought this piece from the GO boutique in Singapore when it first launched. Beautiful dial and bracelet. However I found the case design just a tad slab-sided and visually quite thick. Not a criticism just a personal preference for slimmer designs so I sold it on to another collector.

Interesting. Thanks for sharing that, and the photos too.

In fact there’s two on Chrono24 right now.

I only found out about this model today too.
