For the pre-order were you already able to pay a deposit and have your allocation confirmed? I also contacted my boutique to pre-order and have been placed on the "order interest" list at the IWC boutique in Singapore whilst allocation priorities are worked through.

Looking forward to getting a sense for the watch in the metal. Especially the titanium one looks very technical and interesting. The titanium Alpine Eagles albeit with the 8Hz movement are also pricey and I think people were expecting a lower launch price which has led to some stickershock when seeing the price. Best to always judge a watch once in hand. I initially found the Omega Seamaster NTTD in titanium expensive but at least for me I now find the case details, titanium mesh bracelet and overall watch work really well and worth it's price.

I bought this piece from the GO boutique in Singapore when it first launched. Beautiful dial and bracelet. However I found the case design just a tad slab-sided and visually quite thick. Not a criticism just a personal preference for slimmer designs so I sold it on to another collector.

That anthracite Chronomat GMT 40 is the boutique only version right? It does look good on your wrist in the photo with a brownish tint as well! Did you try any of the other colours to see if they look less "shiny" or similar effect?

Great video Max! I am looking closely at the silver, cream, beige AT small seconds as a potential next purchase. Think it would look awesome on a bunch of different straps in grey, brown, taupe tones!

Great perspectives - thanks for sharing! I have been quite tempted by the Alpine Eagle on several occasions. I especially like the high frequency Cadence edition, but found the mark up vs the standard AE to be quite significant.
