Thank you! The fact that I was able to buy at AD made it more special.

I know you’re excited and grateful, awesome, it’s a cool watch and remains one of my favs in the collection, but I’d still avoid the serial # in your photos. Someone could:

  • Use it for reps. That serial in turn could be traced back to you. See point 4.
  • Use your images and SN to fraudulently sell a watch they don’t have and the serial would check out to a perspective buyer. See point 4.
  • File a stolen claim. While not as common as the rep risk, search the forums/Reddit for many cases where folks sent claim information to Rolex with a fraudulent police report. You’d have no idea until you sent it in, which turns into a cluster.
  • Mess with your AD status by calling them and saying they are about to buy it and can they verify it’s authenticity.

I realize odds are slim, but there is a reason dealers and sellers don’t share it. Just looking out.

Thank you so much for the advice. I will take care of this from now onwards. Really appreciated

Always wondered why the #s are often blurred.  Cheers 🍻
