If you have to ask our permission to tell your story by with a poll, even you aren't certain that your story is worth telling. Start over with, " I've got the most interesting story to tell you about this 1896 pocket watch....." and tell the story before someone has a chance to say "that's not so interesting"

Finally, a post where "do what you want" is not just apathy or an excuse for poor decisions.
