Great post, I agree on most of the points. It is worth to mention that this seems to be the natrual course of any collecting hobby.
That you start of with your own goofy marketing influenced taste, then you consume content/information from more experienced enthusiasts resulting in a more information based taste (though very generic). Then you go through the icons and you develop your own preferances and personal taste while having valuable information and experience.
With that being said it is always interesting to hear other peoples watch collecting journeys and their takes. It is important too that we keep sharing these takes so that people (especially less experienced enthusiasts) dont think that collecting should be done by any rules set by the community!
I bought a jubilee bracelet from namokimods.com (mainly because of convinience since I also bought the mod parts from namoki). Decent quality for sure. For some other watches I have bought bracelets from strapcode.com and I would say they have equal quality as namoki, might have better clasp action and more options though. Uncle seiko (now unclestraps.com) also has some good options with old school clasps if you are into that. I dont have any first hand experience with them though so I cant say anything about their quality.
Its a really nice watch, especially for the price. I have the one with blue dial. If you want to upgrade the look and feel I strongly recommend buying a aftermarket bracelet!
