Daylight Savings Time

This is how I feel during one of the two most dreaded moments in a watch collector's year: Day Light Savings.

I keep getting watches, forgetting the task of resetting watches for the time change. I was lucky this time, I had figured out already what watch I was going to wear tomorrow as my non-DST for tomorrow. Even if I did second guess myself for a few minutes 🤣.

I still have to change all the clocks, but that's tomorrow night's problem 🤦🏼.

To those who have yet to get started, I wish you godspeed.

This is the exact reason to spend a little more to get GShock with MB6 or Bluetooth. 🤣

Meh... It's not that much of a chore unless you have like 50 quartz or something.

My rotation is large enough that setting the watch for the day is just part of the routine.

You had me in a mild panic, but in the UK its 31st March (I think)

I’m lucky to live in a location that has no daylight savings time changes! Sounds annoying.

It's usually takes me around 6 months to get everything changed..... 😕

I don't have problems with daylight saving time except for two minor issues.

  1. It doesn't save anything anymore. It's been decades that the original reason for DST is no longer valid. Sending people home when the sun's up doesn't save any energy compared to keeping them back at work. It was true back in the 40's when there were not that many electrical appliances in homes and AC wasn't used yet at homes but this is no longer the case.

  2. DST and my ProTrek watch conspire together to lower my self esteem and make sure that I understand that I'm too stupid for my watch. It's such a convoluted procedure that I usually don't bother with it and just keep the watch away until the next fall/winter.

If only that option was available for all watches.

A majority of my collection is quartz. At times, I do envy those who have a majority mechanical, with 3 on winders and 1 quartz.

I didn't realize it until I saw something. I thought it was cruel to have it so close to a month without 31 days. Clearly the people in charge here are not watch people. Just got one resetting the day/date complications and now a hour jump. 🤣

Sounds like me when trying to write the correct year. Just last month I kept writing 2022

Without my G Shocks, I would forget to change the rest of my watches! 😂 I always use a G to set my other watches by. It just makes life easier.

Same here. I use my GBD to set my other watches.
