It's on the way, but I fear that I don't get the Tudor BB "homage" and get the normal submariner (that I don't want), the pics are all from the BB but the text is for the submariner.
I have the finger in the trigger to send it back.
The descriptions on Amazon and Aliexpress almost make the Ebay looks good. As I get older I have less and less patience with bad software.
I don't trust Aliexpress not even for a Casio. I bought a Citizen there once, well it proves that you got what you pay for. It looks good at a distance, but I'm sure I could tear apart the back (ahem) plate with the nail from my left pinky finger.
I'll try to find out what movement this watch came with. Thanks for this info.
So far the automatic seikos I've saw are above 150€ but I'll try to dive deepr. And I've read several times that they are with QC problems, specially at hands and dial alignment. I'd think it to be normal for a low quality company but not for Seiko.
I don't understand the part about soulless electronics. The difference between an electronic and a mechanical "circuit" is that in the first you don't see the parts moving.
And remember that quartz is not synonym of digital.
So analog clocks with quartz movements are in fact mechanical watches they only have the ticks generated by a different process. That's like saying that current day watches don't have a soul because they don't have a pendulum.
Yes, low end quartz movements are not so well finished and may even have plastic parts, the fact is that they don't need to be so perfect to still keep the time correctly.
My main reason for only having quartz watches is price, not only the price of the watch but the need for maintenance, I don't even want to think about that.
I too am not a fan of loud tick-tocks, specially at night when I'm trying to sleep, the weak "tick" of a quartz is easy to ignore but my wife have some watches that I have to put in a drawer at night... Shinny little things that goes TICK-TOCK, TICK-TOCK, TICK-TOCK... Argh!!!!
