I think applied indices are often associated with better quality watches, but I must say I rather prefer the printed indices better. What's WC's preference on indices?
It depends? I have a Mühle Glashütte Panova with printed indices, which looks great. I don’t think applied indices would look right on it:
On the other hand, the applied indices on my Omega Seamaster Pro GMT do look right:
I think it’d be a mistake to assume that one is naturally superior to the other. Just because one is more expensive, doesn’t make it better. It depends on the design, really.

I don’t have a preference myself, i like both equally
Applied just gives so much depth and interest to a dial...

Definitely, but blocky ink can also give a little depth as well 😅
I normally prefer applied indices but Cartier gets a pass.
Normally applied, but my favourite watch is a sandwich dial (sm300) & love my better half's printed Ballon Bleu dial 🤔😂
Sandwich!
Field and Flieger? Printed. Dress and Divers? Applied.

I guess the group consensus is that it depends on the style of watch. Watches meant for good lume tend to have applied indexes.
Happy to see this watch again. Stunning looks and $$$ left in your pocket.
