I am new to watch community and I want to know if the timex brand is decent or not. I really like the their exposition series. I have like 3 Casio’s. So I want to add a diff brand than Casio to my collection. I have a very low budget btw.
It’s a great brand, lots of history and a great place to start one’s journey into the hobby. Timex is doing something recently that they haven’t done in a while and that is to turn something heads in the watch enthusiasts community. Lots of great colab release and a number of automatic pieces. They certainly have something for everyone.

That’s nice to know good sir 🫡.But my budget is 50$ as I spent some money on a Casio. Can you recommend me a watch that doesn’t come with a steel bracelet and blue dial?
My opinion, Timex make fantastic watches. Probably the first five watches I had as a kid were all Timex. They been around forever and will probably stay around! 🌈
How about SKMEI? I'd place Timex as a very close second to Casio. Actually, going by watch wearing history, it would be the other way around in terms of preference, but they are very comparable quality at their price levels.

I am really not in favour for SKMEI because it is a Chinese originated brand which I am not in favour for, even though it has decent specifications.
If your expectations are set at "decent" you will not be disappointed.
For under 50$ I just want a watch brand that has some history. 50 m water resistance and looks nice. I want to have some variety in my collection so I don’t want a Casio and steel bracelet and blue dial. That’s all. This what I think of decent for now under that price range.

At that price point, you might want to look at the Timex Expedition line, some of the Iron Man models and the Easy reader line. Shop around, these watches are listed at different price at a number of different retailers. Timex has and econoline that was traditionally sold at Pharmacies and smoke shops. Happy hunting!

I have 2 Timex and many Casios I was in the same boat wanted to branch out. The Timex I have have been great so far on is a Chrono and a field watch. Recommended.
I'm a Timex fanboy, so my opinion is a bit skewed.
I think they offer better value than any other brand, and the Expedition line of watches has been around for decades. I've worn them, my father wears them, lots of people I work with and have deployed with wear them.
Shop around online, check Amazon, Walmart, etc., and you'll find interesting versions at good prices.

I actually own and love the one you posted! Great value!
Love my Timex Ironman from the 90s. Good brand overall for lower end watches, wouldn’t hesitate to buy one again.
Thanks for everyone’s help. I really want a field watch so I am thinking of the expedition. What are you guys opinions
