Got my very first Orient, a Kamasu in green!

Just got my very first Orient Kamasu, in the stunning green. This thing is awesome! I now understand why everyone raves about it. $210, has sapphire crystal, inhouse movement, 200m water resist, solid build quality. The bezel and dial are dark, almost black, but turn green when you stand outside under good lighting.

Downsides are the bracelet, which is a bit cheap. Not a hair pincher though, and still wears perfectly fine. Crown is also INCREDIBLY tiny and hard to grip, so annoying for people that like to handwind and set the date a lot.

Other than that though, best watch I've owned so far!

I like your watch very much. It is probably a trick of the camera, but it looks blue to me. (I was in the "white dress" camp for historical purposes.)

·

One hell of a watch for 210. I'm not sure what beats Orient in that price category since Seiko moved more up market 🤔

·

I have that model too, it’s very nice indeed.
@Aurelian yanny or laurel?

I have the Kanu, lovely watches.

·

Been debating getting a kamasu myself for a while especially in that green

Yeah, it's more like a teal than a solid green, it's a really interesting color and I like it a lot! Depending on the lighting it basically changes in color, so sweet.

Oh man beautiful shot! I definitely want to pick up one of those strapcode bracelets at some point myself as well, I was looking at the jubilee style one or the beads of rice one, they both look like they'd add a lot of pop to the watch and make the bracelet much more solid.

I have it on a Nato and it wears great.
were you the person that asked a while back which kamasu he should go for?

Good choice sir, have the green as well. I put a domed sapphire crystal in it, Pic don't do it justice.

Completely agree

·

Strapcode make some nicer bracelets that are specially designed for this watch- I have the jubilee and rarely change it- the only thing I didn’t like about the strapcode was that the clasp was a little too thick, so I swapped it for the thinner strapcode one.

Very nice bracelets- I have the jubilee, i did swap the clasp for thinner one. The stock was a little too thick

Have owned the red Kamasu and still have my green one. Fantastic watches at street price.
Congrats.
