Do you have a funky weekend watch?

My brother bought me this in Japan. Its a different beast from the watches I buy myself, but it's comfy (at least on aftermarket rubber) and there's so much to look at!

It's inspired from the king divers from their archive. The large lug-less case integrates a flat end strap a bit like a speedy mark 2. The domed glass is wonderful. The hands are dimensional with contrasting finishing and outdo the rest of my collection. The internal bezel is smooth. The lume is functional. The case has a unique pvd finish. Some companies reserve a day date for presidents but orient politely disagrees and I'm cool with that. Its cursive script informs us it's "water resistant" to 20 bar despite the push pull crown. I don't have any other watches with fluted bezels, so sure, throw that in too!

None of this makes sense on paper, but somehow it looks consistent anyway. Any it comes out at least once or twice a month.

How about something quirky once in a while?

This is my funky weekend watch even though I don’t wear it much nowadays.
