Cheap hollow jubilee is so good

For whatever reason the stock #lorier strap never clicked with me on the falcon 2. Nothing wrong with it, it's comfortable and well made for the price point. I think it blends in too well with the lugs, making it wear smaller, or just de-emphasizing the lugs. Whatever the reason, it was always on straps for me.

It just seems like it should have a metal strap. With the wide lug-to-case ratio and hair gap lug hole placement, some good taper and hallow end links were in order.

Unfortunately there seem to be limited options available for hollow end links these days, so the best I could find was this cheapo jubilee on aliexpress. The hallow center links don't even have sides!

After bending endlinks and swapping out sharp spring bars, this looks the part and is the most comfortable metal strap I have! Who would have thought. It's a permanent fixture on the falcon now.

It feels light and sounds cheap, but that's just a reminder not to take things too seriously. You could say it matches the crystal and rotor - they all add character.

We're collectively obsessed with specs like solid links and milled clasps, but if you let that go you might find a folded clasp that's more comfortable and less bulky than what micros are pushing. You might even enjoy it. Or waste $10 and feel validated for your obsession with modernity. Either way win win right?

The Falcon is such a good watch that making it “fit” for you is awesome.

I haven’t experienced a milled clasp yet, but they look bulky to me, especially those Rolex ones. My Jubilee bracelet i have is the same as yours. The thin clasp really fits with the aesthetics and overall comfort of the bracelet. It’s a shame spec hogs bark at microbrands and others about this sort of stuff.
