Can’t get enough of G Shock!
So I recently picked up a dw5600e-1v and that brings the GShock total up to 3 for my fledgling collection. I have Timex, Seiko and have my eye on the Orient Mako II but for some reason G Shocks are my go to! So much fun to wear and perfect for house work and hanging with the kids. I know casual watch users love them but what makes them so beloved among the watch community?

Who doesn’t love a nearly indestructible watch with fun features and tons of color/special edition options? I think nostalgia plays into it a bit, for those of us who grew up with the earlier models. There is just so much variety nowadays that collectors just can’t get bored! I’ve got seven myself. They are super fun to mod and customize too!

They are practically indestructible. That's why I love them.
This is a G Shock I put through the wringer in a series of comparison tests with a Timex Iron Man and it's still running and waterproof even with a cracked crystal.
p.s. the Iron Man is still running as well, but it is no longer waterproof and gets water under its cracked crystal.

Amazing. They really are as tough as advertised.
Like others have said, who doesn't love, etc. Even their least expensive models are worth of compliments. Go for it.
You can’t go wrong with G-Shock of all the above reasons. These 5600’s are growing on me and even easy to mod with metal cases if you want. Well done.
