Addiction to WatchCrunch

Are you as addicted to WatchCrunch as you are to watches? Every morning I wake up and one of the first things I do, after rewinding my manual wind watch, is to open WatchCrunch page and start looking for new postings and reactions to my comments. After spending a 10-15 minutes on WatchCrunch, I start working, or if it is weekend, doing what I planned to do. To me this sounds like another addiction.

Nah, it's only an addiction when you can't walk away!

Sounds like more of a routine than an addiction to me. 10-15 minutes isn’t bad.

I check WC multiple times a day

Well, these 10-15 minutes repeat 10 times a day.

Oh you only spend 15 minutes before you start working? Congrats! 😂

Well I've definitely been using it more than every other social media platform I'm on, but wouldn't say I'm addicted. It's a lot more laidback here, cool watches, even cooler folks, what's not to like?

I check Watchcrunch when I sleep. Sometimes at 3AM. Sometimes at 5AM

watch crunch is the social media platform I never knew I wanted in my life

1,000,000 times better than twitter/insta/tiktok/snapchat/facebook/reddit/whatever

usually I wouldn't expect focused social media to work so well, but for this, it really really works. Of course the site is small and niche right now, I assume someday max will want to profit-ize the site and it'll go to shit, just like reddit did

I'm checking it now so...🤷🏼‍♂️😅

Well I am ranked top 3 contributor and have made homage watches dedicated to WatchCrunch so you know what my answer is. Yes I am addicted and I love the drug. But having a collection really is the source of the addiction so I guess WatchCrunch would then be the chaser 🤣. I’m 💯 ok with spending as much time on here as I see it as treating my self and still get everything done in my real life. I receive alot of value out of it being able to talk watches when ever I wan to and be directly connected to a community so for that I am greatful for!

It’s certainly growing on me. I was initially put off because the format is so different than any other forums I frequent. Now that I’m kind of “learning the ropes” I’ve been posting more.

My main time consumer is this app

It's part of the bigger watch addiction for sure.

But it's the healthiest part for me. No scrolling through listings on ebay out of boredom but mostly seeing people being enthousiastic with an occasional amusing rant as palate cleanser.

I used to smoke many years ago and my father-in-law, who was a doctor, told me that I should quit smocking and drink more, because it is healthier. I guess you are right. This is one of the more healthy addictions that you can get.
