A dash of quirkiness, color and heritage.

A massively underrated watch within the Omega range that wears beautifully on wrist. The caseback with the detailed and deep hippocampus engraving is a nice bit of detail. The rust brownish orange second hand and Railmaster writing on the blue striated dial makes this endlessly entertaining on the wrist.

Some complain about the bracelet but it feels substantial and fits the character of the watch. The all brushed Railmaster is a slow release charmer that comes to life outside of the AD environment and is worth checking out in the metal.

Yes, love this watch. My favorite Omega. Hoping to gift it to myself upon retirement someday.

Thank you! I hope you have this lovely watch to wear in good health waiting for you when you arrive at that milestone. 😀

Love it 😍💪🏼💪🏼

How do you like it on the denim strap? This is one of the better vintage re-editions in recent history. Spare me the fauxtina

·

Dial matches very nice with the jeans. Love it!!

·

Is there a quartz version of this with the same dial? 😍

·

I agree. It’s one of the under the radar Omegas.

·

Beautiful!

·

Beautiful watch. And the bracelet definitely elevates it in my opinion.

Congratulations!

·

It’s a fantastic shot especially with the jeans 👖back drop beautiful enjoy it…!!

I have tried on the denim strap. It is a neat concept but the nato style makes it wear a bit too bulky. I think if they could do that style in a two piece strap it could work well.

If I was ever to chase the Omega train, the Railmaster would by my #1 Omega pick. Beautiful watch you have there, enjoy it!!

·

This is an outstanding watch 👌

·

Lovely. Was looking at these vs a OP last night

·

Beautiful watch!! Yes, very underrated.

·

Hello from my Railmaster!

For me that’s the true Go Anywhere Do Anything watch.

Stunning piece. That dial is a thing of beauty. So simple and legible, but so many subtle details that start to appear. Nice one!

Looks fantastic on your wrist. Hope that coffee was good!

·

Lovely watch. 🍻

Looks good on you, and it's not the typical Aqua Terra too. 🎉

·

The only reason I didn't buy it was, if I buy an Omega. I want to see the movement.

I know what you mean but the deeply engraved hippocampus on the closed caseback is rather lovely.

Think I’m leaning towards an OP 36 as a GADA option. Ideally wanted 38mm ish but the 38mm railmaster is just over £7k for the 1957 edition so that’s too much for me, for this type of watch IMHO. I’m not buying anything else expensive till second half of next year anyway so hoping I’ll be able to just walk in to AD and swoop on a OP 😂👌

Reminds me of the Seiko Mystic Forest.

Those were a lot of technical terms I have never heard of, but I'm happy for you and your hippopotamus engraving

·

The hippopotamus engraving would be a hoot.

·

While I really really like this watch I can't help but feel this would be so much better around 38mm and thinner. If Omega started downsizing their watches I would probably end up owning most of them, the Railmaster and Globemaster being the first two.

One thing about the Railmaster is the lug to lug is around 46mm if I recall. Makes it wear smaller than the diameter would indicate. A smaller sized Globemaster would be lovely!
