I’m sure glad for that 200m Water Resistance…

As some of you may know, bath time with a two year old is an extreme activity for which it is of the utmost importance to be able to keep track of time. One must be punctual for bedtime as to not risk having an overexcited-overtired toddler and/or a potentially grumpy significant other for not sticking to the “program”.

A serious tool is requiered for such a task, one that can withstand the submersion, splashing, jolting, and bumping of an intense burble-bubble filled bath session. Sometimes, it’s like wrestling a weasel!

That’s why I use my trusty Vulcain Nautique Skindiver! 200m water resistance, a rotating bezel, and a FKM rubber strap… these are NESSESARY.

This is only one of many example of why we need these serious watches, they are true tools for the modern man/woman.

What other “super tough” and completely justified uses do you have for your sturdy tool watches?

CA-53 on the range for doing "machine gun math." Rate of fire X targets X duration = number of rounds. Need to make sure you have enough rounds for all your targets, plus extra in reserve.

For everything and anything.

Just did some painting at home, just washed it in the sink and on the wrist it goes..a tough mother flipper of a watch 👍👍👍

·

What's the kid rating on your watch? Gotta be careful, some of them are only tested on 10yr olds and are not actually toddler safe

I think the only thing that I need from this is a demonstration on ease of use for the calculator watch while wearing shooting gloves 😉😁. Depending on the gun, I can sometimes barely get my finger into the trigger guard ☝️

Love the write up haha. Good luck with future bathing adventures 👌

Thankfully all the math is done beforehand. Students brief us their plan and we give them the requested rounds. This way we know if they request too much.

That last use case is critical!

So far it’s held up, solid 8.5/10 toddler proof I would say! 😂

Agreed on the sticking to the program. Sleep is wonderful....and I'm not talking about the kiddos...🤏🏻😂.

Kabar chopsticks, filed down a little bit.

Its what I use to push annoyingly small buttons when I'm wearing gloves.

Also carry one or two of those McDonald's flurry spoon things, and a regular kabar SPORK in the MOLLE on my plate carrier.

You never know 😂😉.

I am not sure that there's a watch that can whistand such an adverse situation.

Ahhh, I remember those days of wrestling my 2 little weasels at bath time. I think I was rocking my Seiko Orange 🍊 Monster back then. Your Vulcain seems to be the perfect tool for such a rigorous endeavor 👍🏾. Would that happen to be an acrylic crystal? Stay safe in the wilds of the tub 🛁 swamp. 🤗

Great write up.

We're in round two with my grandson.

Drool rating is another consideration.😆

·

Unfortunately the kid isn't as water resistant as your watch, please be more mindful toward the more important things in live. I think a G shock is better since it is rubber less harmfull if collision happen with the child.

·

Love this post. Right there with you, love wearing my skx013 during bath time.

·

Whether scrubbing pasta starch off of pots and plates before the dishwasher or scrubbing cast iron before drying it on the stove top I depend on a good water resistance rating from all of my Dishwater Divers. #dishwaterdiver

I remember those times well I have 3 boys all old enough to bath themselves now but what splashing great days they where .❤️

·

G-Shock for me. Bathtime is a breeze and it’s tough enough for toddler rough housing!

Toddler: "200m you say?! Hold my so called pacifier"

ps. I don't remember seeing this specific model before, thanks!

I took a bit of a risk and bought it without ever seeing it in person, but I can tell you it’s well made and absolutely lovely to wear!
