my son was given this watch from my uncle who recently passed away, hes graduating from college this week and starts at his new Job on Monday. I would like to have the crystal replaced and possibly upgraded to sapphire is that a bad idea?

I would see what a watchmaker could do to polish the acrylic. I like to keep acrylic on these period pieces. Polywatch is very forgiving.
A thorough polishing and a swanky alligator or lizard strap and 🎯.
Thanks for the advice Does any one know of a reputable watch maker near Brooklyn?
Get some polywatch to shine it up. That headlight polish is probably the same stuff but Polywatch is best.
