HBD to me from me
I’ve wanted one of these for quite a while and happened to find this one at a decent price. It’s needs a new crystal and the bracelet needs some love but hey..I probably will too when I’m 60. My birthday is this Saturday so I treated myself to something a little off the beaten path. The enamel dial and Bakelite bezel are really fun little signs of the period and that light blue bezel is a lot of fun in and of itself. Thus far it’s keeping good time and I’m really enjoying it.

If I had the money to gamble, I'd buy more vintage watches. - I have a handful. SO much history to explore, every watch with some unknown story, but it's a minefield ain't it!, and the higher-end you go, the more money your risking. Love the SSW.👍

The Crystal, I’ll probably leave as is. Or I’ll at least think about it between now and whenever I get it serviced. Currently running +8 seconds a day so that probably won’t be for quite a while. The bracelet needs attention for sure though. I’m going to try to find a donor clasp for it. I’d like to save it if possible.
