I 100% agree that they rely too much on the Royal Oak in the last 20-30 years but pretty sure they want to change this. The code is getting more and more attention and development and i think it will continue to grow. But tbh the royal oak is such a versatile watch you can milk it out. I got a 38mm Chronograph and I can assure you that if you put on a 37mm blue dial RO it feels like you wearing a different watch.
