Mido Ocean Star GMT Special Edition?

I haven't seen many people talk about this watch. It seems like it just came out and is not widely available yet but it seems like the perfect GMT to me! What are your thoughts on it?

It reminds me of a San Martin.

I feel like brands like Mido, Rado, Certina while great brands they barely have a soul. For $1,310 people rather get a misaligned dial cheap movement Seiko Diver before touching a Mido.

I voted "don't like it". Though in full disclosure, I don't like 97.6% of all GMT watches.

Sad, but true.

At $1310, I'll buy a Zodiac

Beautiful watch. Great value. Historic Swiss brand. Great movement. Not crazy about that bracelet.

That's a good option. I think you can still get an Oris for 1300 but I might be on crack.

I've seen some on the "grey" for that much and lower

I think it's alright, but I don't like it as much as I like the Hodinkee x Mido Oceanstar GMT which was released in 2022. Same specs but the dial execution was done differently and I guess it depends if you prefer a 60 min layout or the latest 24 hr for the inner ring.... or if you loathe the H.
