Grand Seiko Factory Tours?

Does anyone know if us normal members of the public are allowed Grand Seiko factory tours? and whether or not you can purchase direct from their factory? Have an opportunity to possibly go to Japan in a year or so and would love to commemorate the trip with a tour and purchase :)

You can try here.  They actually produce Grand Seiko watches at 2 different locations that are not close to each other.  Grand Seiko mechanical watches are produced at Studio Shizukuishi in Iwate Prefecture in northern Japan.  You can try to schedule a tour at the website above, but I have been trying and they always fill up as soon as they post to the website.

Quartz and Spring Drive watches are produced at the Shinsu Watch Studio in Nagano Prefecture in central Japan, but I don't know if you can schedule tours there or not.

If you want you can come to Ginza in Tokyo and buy a Grand Seiko from either the Wako Department Store or the Grand Seiko Boutique.  Ginza is the birthplace of Seiko, and there is a free Seiko museum there that is pretty cool.
