A watch that you should not miss

Tudor Black Bay 54 has become my dream watch, I'll tell you why it is a piece that if it falls within your budget you should take it into account, Tudor is a watchmaking house belonging to Rolex with which it can have its design and why not also say quality of finish at a lower price, with a timeless vintage design, with a 37 mm case and with only 11.24 mm case thickness it offers those with smaller wrists an opportunity to design and build a true diver with Its 200 meters of water resistance and in-house caliber with chronograph certification with 70 hours of power reserve, is a piece that you should not rule out for your collection, if you don't mind that its bezel is not made of ceramic for $4,000.

I plan on buying the Black Bay 58. You can’t go wrong with this watch.

I have not seen a 54 in the flesh as of yet but the 58 is very impressive.

58 relaunched Tudor as a brand

That's right, the first option for many, but it is appreciated that Tudor has released a case model with a smaller diameter, I think the market will go in that direction in 2023.

Absolutely. Its a phenomenal watch and it has done really well for the brand.

Having just got one - it is so much better than even my expectations. Wears so well and it's design aesthetics are definitely better in person under natural light. The BB54 has made me a Tudor fanboy (in addition to Omega) - at least for their smaller case models.

I actually LOVE that the bezel is NOT ceramic for $4k after taxes (depending on location). Manly feel the same way. Ceramic inserts are overrated

I hope this year I can have that feeling that you told me about, I think it will be the watch that I will give to myself when I achieve a goal in my life.

I think the bezel material should not influence a purchase

Man, I've been heavily debating between either a BB 54/58 or a Royal for so long. They're both absolutely gorgeous watches, even more so because they're from one of my favorite watch brands. This post just might've convinced me to pull the trigger on the BB 54, haha.

haha, friend I wish I had discovered this application sooner, I understand the royal with its integrated silver bracelet looks phenomenal, plus I seem to remember that it has a lower price with some simpler dials, but I think that if I could only buy one, I would take it black bay, and I would choose the PRX or a Yema Urban Traveler with an integrated bracelet, the design of the BB and construction quality I think it is impossible to find it at a lower price.

The 54 is Tudor's best watch IMO. A 1926 + a BB54 and you've got a truly great two watch collection.

What goal is it (if you don't mind sharing) that will trigger the BB54? 🙂 Good luck with it!

I often tell my friends who are interested in an Explorer I that they should try on a BB54. (Nope, we ain't talken a true comparison Field versus Dive. ) We are talking about a similar case size and all around rugged GADA sports watch comparison. The BB54 comes without AD ass kissing baggage and is a stunner. When non watch addicts inquire about the one and done watch the BB54 is on that top 5 list of referrals. You own a great watch!

That's right, version one of the explorer can be found for a similar price, it is the gateway to Rolex, but even at the same price I would still choose the BB. It's a matter of taste and style.

undoubtedly one of the best luxury integrated bracelets for the price 🏆

I don't have one and I don't miss not having one, does it still count?

Of course not a friend and even more so with the Seiko that you have in its brown version, which offers a similar dial at a lower price.

Definitely a great watch! Too small for my taste but hey! They make 2 other sizes that I do like!

It's for mine but you could opt for BB 58 or Pelagos

The Murph is an incredible field watch. I recently picked up a pre-owned Longines Spirit Titaniumn 40mm for 2K. Great deal on a watch that was used & owned leas than 9 months. This watch has amazing fit and finish, specs and super light. It's a pilots watch that lives as a field watch IMO

Definitely on my list.. actually the top of my list

but I have to say that it wears larger than its 37mm size. Still not a great fit for less than 6 inch wrists and below.

Design wise, its perfect for my taste.. really perfect.

We think the same, I also have it high on my wish list, it would be my first luxury watch, it reached almost 6.5 inches on my wrist, I think it would fit me well, although I have never had it in my hands, unfortunately.

I don’t mind that the insert is not ceramic, but it would be nice to see some lumed, matte ceramic inserts. (and if they bring these out in a new version, I would like to see them, bring back the snowflake secondhands!)

Regardless, it is a nice-looking watch

I think that will be an update for this year, I have no doubts, and I hope the hand thing you mention also arrives.

I wasn't very keen on the Blackbay line until I saw the 58 on person, really considering in the long term

I think we all love this watch

·

Agreed !

Am I the only one lusting for a 54 full green or burgundy 😅

a Hulk style would be fantastic

With a wrist just over 6" I can see why you think it fits like a glove - cos it would. Great dimensions. Now imagine having a wrist 1-2" larger and what that does to the look.

I agree with you, the good thing is that we have the BB 58 version, 39 mm, I would still like to have a thicker wrist, it limits me a lot when choosing divers

a fantastic purchase without a doubt, and price for the time of use, it is unbeatable, my congratulations, on my wish list I have the Longines Flagship Automatic White Dial, a simply beautiful dress watch.

Dear OP. Having read your comment is refreshing knowing there was a real guy with real emotions behind it. This whole week I've been receiving emails with plenty of AI rant (no doubt employees trying to make themselves sound professional to the point that 80% of their email was almost ROBOTIC).

The BB54 is on my wishlist too along with a Carl F Bucherer Manero Autodate 38mm. I've recently sold off my BB58 in December but felt it was too soon to get it replaced. I have to admit when it came out I obsessed over it but couldn't buy it because I had the BB58. Now that I have sold it, I'm pretty much more calm knowing nothing is in the way of me buying it, except maybe the cash 😉

I think that even with too many emotions about watches, we currently probably have the same impediment, I might be a bigger purchase for 2025 if everything goes well for me. I am happy for the sale BB58, I hope that you will soon be able to acquire this desired piece, now I am going to look for the watch that you mentioned, I was not aware of it.

Funny that you pointed to one of the watches with which I have a very complicated relationship.
