Looking into an affordable salmon dial watch. Any suggestions?
For those with experience with Merkur, any first hand feedback on either of these watches?

Obviously 'affordable' is subjective but based on the Merkur I think these might be more than you're looking for (as they're pushing $1k or just over). But I thought I'd share either way as they're all lovely...
Baltic MR01?
Farer just came out with a new salmon chrono… might be worth checking out!
First the Baltic MR01 salmon
Also more affordable at around 100$ right now in the sale the Pierre Paulin salmon dial I think it’s inspired by a JLC
If you're open to buying vintage / used, I suggest the Orient Star "Explorient".
I remember seeing Vario watch with Salmon dial, but I'm not sure if they're still available. It's a microbrand from Singapore.
This one has a gold dial, not really salmon, but the design and proportions are spot on for a very fair price:

And this one is my favorite for around 1K:

Thanks! Salmon dials are so tricky in that they float between orangey pink and copper, and are surprisingly hard to find at ADs. I’m looking in the affordable range to see what works for me before committing big money to something nicer.

Thanks! Both caught my eye in searches, but I have larger wrists so 36mm won’t work and I’m concerned that the inner ring design on the Poulin will make it wear smaller, which is tough considering it’s already a 38.

Oh very interesting. What’s the case size?
Baltic MR01?
I thought it was gorgeous the minute I laid eyes on it, but unfortunately it’s 36mm and that’s just too small for my wrist. 😕

I’ve had my eye on Vario for a while. I like their trench watches Had no idea there was a salmon! Thanks for that!
So funny to find this as first thing I see, as I just came to post about the salmon Mekur PP 36mm ‘sector dial’ I purchased last night. (Someone beat me to ‘All‘ the punches Lol) In any case, really looking forward to getting it in hand. Definitely JLC inspired as someone said but is really a straight one for one, or extreme reminiscent, of the Balkin X Worn & Wound limited release of a few yrs back and at fraction of cost.
