In the beginning of this year, 2022, I was looking to buy a cool watch for myself mostly as an accessory.
At this point I almost knew nothing about watches themself and what criteria define a great watch. I wouldn’t know the difference between a Tommy Hilfiger and Seiko timepiece in terms of their quality, for instance.
But as I was trying to find the right pick for the right price, I got more and more into watch collecting.
I ended up buying a simple Casio digital watch on a stainless steel bracelet which I consider a great pick for my first watch. But seeing the seemingly endless diversity of watches, I asked myself one question: Is there actually something like the perfect watch? ‘The best Bang for Buck’ ,
as I’m generally very careful when it comes to selecting the right item comparing it to the many other options we have nowadays.
Although I wouldn’t say there is ‘the’ perfect watch, I do think there are a few particular timepieces that come pretty close but the ocean is huge and I believe there is still a lot to discover for me
