The First Purge is over

In last two month all of these have left the collection.

After all of those were sold these two have joined the collection and I'm pretty happy with the decision to consolidate a bit. This EZM is my first Sinn and quite interested in getting to know what kind of watches these are.

Well done!  Sinns are a great watch-I bet you'll love it! 👍

I'm about to embark on a bit of a purge myself. How long were those in your collection and how were the initial feelings when you parted with them?

  1. Seamaster: Bought this summer for my father-in-law. Here is some of the story: https://www.watchcrunch.com/laurik/posts/vintage-nightmare-is-back-18193. Lost quite a bit of money but still happy with it going in to use.
  2. Alpha: bought this when I asked to be put on the Explorer waitlist almost three years ago. The Explorer has never arrived and I felt it was time to let go.
  3. Steeldive: bought last spring and as a value proposition it is really hard to beat. Wound up missing the Seiko branding so moved it on and maybe a real turtle in the future.
  4. Flightmaster: bought in 2020 after seeing TGV rave about it. This one was a hard one because I really like it but it just doesn't get wrist time. Got good money for it because it isn't easy to find it anymore.
  5. 62MAS: bought in 2020. The guy who sold me the Sinn took this in trade. Love it but you can't keep all of the watches if you want to try something new.
  6. Nasa G: bought in 2021. After getting the John Mayer I felt there are too damn many G-Shocks in this house so one needs to go and got good money out of this limited edition.

104 was the first Sinn that I had my eye on but never ended up buying it. I keep seeing 556s but it just wasn’t doing it for me. But then I saw the EZM 13 chrono and loved the look but not the price. Then I discovered the 3 and I was sold. Never thought I would go for a destro.

Well done in the consolidating process. That Sinn of yours looks built like a tank. Very nice👍

Thanks. It looks though but it's only 41mm by 12mm so it's smaller than the Seiko it replaced. It is coming with me on our first adventure when I'm flying to Stockholm tomorrow.
