Would this be a good purchase?
Hey everyone,
I was on FB Marketplace looking around. I wasn't really expecting to find anything cool, but I stumbled upon this Victorinox Swiss Army Watch. They are asking for $300, and it's in new condition. Other than the listing looking a little shady, this could be an awesome watch. Do you all think I should get it?

My opinion....
If a listing looks shady, I Google image the heck out of it and make sure it's not just taken off Google. Meet in person, no where near your home, well lit, high traffic area, cash only, read up on the model, make sure it's not a fake, etc.
Or just listen to your instincts, can't say it enough, the subconscious (gut/intuition/etc) picks up on more than we realize at times. If alarms are going off, stop and scrutinize.
If it's just the bad sushi from lunch speaking, go get the deal.

Haha totally. I really like the watch, plus the person selling offered $250. I think I’m going to take it. It comes with all of the authenticity docs, so I’m assuming it’s legit. I’ll probably meet halfway somewhere (Starbucks or something). Thanks for the help! 😄

I think that the watch looks awesome. And the likelihood is that all is good and at 250, how bad can you really go nobody's going to fake a victorinox? Do a little bit of homework. If it's coming from North America or Europe, you're probably fine.

Actually, I’d meet the person in person. We both live in Minnesota, US. I bet it’s okay. I am planning on picking it up next week. I’ll keep you posted!
Update: I got the watch. It is unworn just like the seller said. I got the battery swapped and the jeweler said it looked legit. This is definitely my favorite watch in my collection.
