Definitely #3 for me. #1 is impossible as many pieces in my collection hold sentimental value that cannot be replaced by one end-all be-all watch. #2 doesn’t resonate with me as the definition of grail, which for me signifies more or less a potentially once in a lifetime piece that is exceedingly difficult to obtain for one reason or another (personal budget/price, market availability, etc.) but that you may be lucky enough to obtain through good fortune/hard work. As much as I originally thought grail meant an exit watch, I don’t think i personally could ever fathom the idea of an exit watch as that almost means to me that you’d be exiting the hobby of learning about and exploring/experiencing watches, which I doubt many of us will!
