I have wanted a Swiss Mechanical Watch for a long time. Today went in to a locally owned AD whose owner was a standout in the local cohort back in the day for being one of the only young guys who went down the jeweller and watchmaker trade path. Today he is still plying his trade up against chain stores. Chose this watch because of the price matching my budget, the style and mechanics of it. The green was great but chose blue feeling it would suit me as an evening into night colour. The ability of it to keep time keeping between wears appealed too.

Nice pickup! What made you go for the PRX? Just curious. I've been going back and forth on getting one for a long time.
Seeing it in person sold me, then trying it on. I thought Iโd go for the Gentleman but was a little underwhelmed when I compared it to the PRX. Some things in style are iconic eg this case shape ( and the original Porsche 911 etc) Plus wanted a totally automatic Swiss made watch. But have to admit going into a local AD was like being a kid in a lolly shop.
Awesome watch, you said blue is it the light that makes it look black dial?
Yes.

An AD can be a dangerous place ๐
Beautiful. I just got a Tissot watch for the first time too. I wonder if Tissot is considered to be a luxury brand or is it on the same level as Seiko? ๐ค
For me to buy locally we are luckily to have good family owned ADโs who stock a good range of Seikos and Tissots etc. I longed for a Swiss brand with heritage and mechanical but at a better price point for my budget. Looking at my current selection this filled the void of an automatic dress watch that can be worn all day like a wedding or day out the thoroughbred horse races
Nice watch, I have 3 with that movement in (or a variant of) and itโs been solid in all of them (Rado, Hamilton, Tissot). Good choice!
Great choice! Congratulations!
Nice choice have a powermatic 80, 80 hours reserve and quiet and smooth. Mine is ETA so most likely is yours one of the workhorse Swiss. Hopefully get 2 year guarantee but should be irrelevant have a 30 year old swiss that doesn't miss a beat (did service it once...after about 15 years heavy use). if get bored with look change around straps! Enjoy!

Hi. Yeah will take it back the AD I bought it off for the usual/ recommend service and have already checked out the alternative straps when registering it online ! Really cool seeing the quick release bracelet and can imagine travelling with the one watch but different straps. No different than clothes when travelling. Mix and match !
Congrats on your PRX! Welcome to the club
If I'm honest didn't bother servicing my premium Swiss watch until after about 15+ years (A lot recommend 3-5 years for a full service not sure that is really necessary!?), I have a kids swiss watch I had from 10 years old recently found in a box, not been touched for 30+ years started first wind..nursed it back to life in a few days, actually quite quiet probably a bit rough as not been able to time it accurately yet but seems to keep reasonable time...give it another go soon.
Congrats, great choice, enjoy it good health. ๐
Congratulations on your new watch! ๐ป
Awesome pick! I got a quartz one on the cheap a month or so ago and theyโre nicer than I expected! Congratulations on the pick. Hope it sits on your wrist for years to come.
Great Watch enjoy it
The PRX do look nice in person. Wear it in good health.
Great pick, enjoy and I hope it lasts for years to come!
Big congrats! Itโs a great watch, enjoy!
