I have that very same Datejust, it is a beautiful watch. Like you I prefer the plain bezel, it can be casual or used in the most formal of settings. Grey dealer prices are close to MSRP. To mark a special occasion, Datejust would be my choice.

Since you can’t walk into a Rolex store and buy a Rolex watch is being a fake Rolex taking sales away from Rolex? In Korea they won’t even let you into the store.
