I have never owned a Omega Seamaster or a Panerai Luminor. I am not too keen on the helium valve on the Seamaster and Panerai is just too big for my 6-1/2" wrist. Yeah I have seen a couple Steinhart Rolex Sub Homage watches in person. They are well made and look beautiful. Now I am tempted to buy one but I need to save up for my next grail watch! :D

I have the same watch, I think (if yours is SBGA413). Yeah, the dial is absolutely mesmerizing but the back is a bit underwhelming with the big GS lion logo blocking the view! I love the polishing of the hands and the case, absolutely beautiful... But GS really need to work on the bracelet and the clasp!!!

For me, the gap is definitely pilot. For everyday wear, I gravitate toward dive since it is more rugged. For traveling, I pick GMT. For formal or work, I pick dress. For horology reason, I own a few chronographs. Maybe it is my personal taste, I am not a fan of the German "flieger" style.
Yes I noticed that and was wondering why... But it doesn't bother me that much. On the other hand, it drives my colleague crazy. I just checked my Tudor BB58.. I think it is aligned! Yay!
What a beautiful dial. If I had one, I would wear it a lot more often. For me, it is more of "fear of damaging" when I wear nice watches. I like what other commented here: "accept that watches will get scratched and damaged. that’s a fact of life" That is so true. I think those small scratches here and there add a certain personal charm to the watches I wore (I know every one of the scratch such as when and where... Hahahaha)
