I don’t understand all the hate over Steinhart watches. I guess it’s the homage hate the generates most of it. Unfortunately for me my life went from BMW to bmx and I can’t justify spending all that $ on a Rolex and even if I could I couldn’t get one anyway because they don’t have any in stock. There are only two Rolex models I like anyway (explorer ii and explorer) and not any new ones at any AD and I live in Rolex land. Just ranting !!

I'm with you. The way Rolex is going, I'd never be able to afford one and I hate playing the AD game anyway.
Steinhart's don't seem at all terrible for what they are.
Steinharts are built like tanks. Love em. My only little complaint about Steinharts is the clasp. It’s not bad but if the updated it they would be best.
I think people that genuinely like watches do not hate any other watch. It's just not for them.
It's the social media factor - everyone has to either love or hate something - no middle ground.
As for me? I'll just roll another J and chillaxxxxxx!!!!
I've owned a few Steinharts. They are quality watches.
I said it on another thread, the more I purchase and try other watches, the more impressed I am with Steinhart. Their quality really stands out compared to even Monta. No joke, I own both.
And agreed on the clasp. I had an issue but they fixed it right away without cost to me. But they should upgrade it and the value would be insane!

It’s really a beautiful watch. Never owned a Rolex, but have owned a few omega and Panerai just to name a few and this is almost on par with them. Well at least my Omega. I guess Rolex doesn’t make those any more. It’s a beautiful.

Yeah, I agree totally there an amazing watch company Gunther is the man with great taste love him. I’m going to buy another one. So far I own two and they get most of my wrist time.

You know it’s funny even if you wanted to buy a Rolex you can’t walk in and get one, and if the authorized dealer doesn’t want to sell you one they don’t and you get put on the waiting list that gets thrown in the trash immediately. So screw em let’s start a campaign to boycott Rolex until they change their sales practices and maybe they might put out a couple watches that are somewhat reasonably priced. You can buy a house for what they charge for some of them.

I have never owned a Omega Seamaster or a Panerai Luminor. I am not too keen on the helium valve on the Seamaster and Panerai is just too big for my 6-1/2" wrist. Yeah I have seen a couple Steinhart Rolex Sub Homage watches in person. They are well made and look beautiful. Now I am tempted to buy one but I need to save up for my next grail watch! :D
