The watch I bought for my 30th birthday!

Last year I turned 30 and I thought it would be a great time to buy a watch that would stick with me for the rest of my life.

After I bought a terrible Tudor from an auction (at the moment of bidding I was at a party & I fully blame the alcohol) I needed to find something else.

When I was randomly watching watch videos I came across a review of the Pitzmann II. The moment I saw the watch I was totally in love. I really liked the look of the larger hands and the inward design of the bezel.

Pitzmann is located in Seoul, South Korea. At that time my girlfriend and I were planning to go to South Korea so I thought it would be really nice to see the watch before buying it.

But as with many small watch brands they only sell their watches online.

After some messaging back and forth they told me travelers often let the watch be delivered at the hotel. So that’s what I did. After filling in the address of the hotel they messaged me asking when the check in date was so they could send the watch a couple of days before arriving so the watch won’t be there unnecessarily long. I told them my check in date and I received a message back telling me there were some holidays coming up so if the postal office would tell him the watch would be delivered too late they would deliver it themselves. All to make sure the watch is at the hotel when I would arrive there. Their service is really impeccable!

The design of the watch is inspired by Korean Culture. They offer this watch in 3 colors: blue, green and grey, which represent the colors seen on old temples. The inward bezel shows a roofing structure seen on old houses.

The watch is powered by a Sellita SW300 which I think at this price point ($1199 at the time of writing) is not bad at all.

From the moment I received it I really enjoy this watch. I love it because it is from a smaller brand and every time I look at it I remember our good times in South Korea.

I’m really curious what you think about this timepiece!

Looks great. That was quite the teaser about the Tudor. Sounds like the start of a good story.

Pitzman do lovely watches. Yours is nice. I have been eying up the first Pitzman myself - if only I needed another watch. 😂

·

SHOW US YOUR TUDOR!!! :)

Watches are all about the story that travels with them. Their origin, their destinations, and the way they are worn. Every watch, like every person that wears one, has a story to tell. Sounds like this one’s tale is off to a great start. How does that song go…ah I got it…”the rest is still unwritten.”

Beautifully said!

GADA watch. It’s giving Odysseus with those indices and outer dial texture.

·

Pitzmann def one of the very best microbrands. That is a stunning watch. Congratulations!

·

Great service there! Cool watch 🍻

I’d snap one up in a heartbeat if they made it in a SLIGHTLY smaller size. For a 6.5 inch wrist, a 40mm watch that’s all dial is barely gonna fit! I’m so happy you got this watch, the Pitzmann II deserves a lot more love and attention. If I had bigger wrists, this would be on my short list. Congrats!

I don't think you need to worry, I also have a 6.5 in wrist and this is how the 40mm Pitzmann II wears on my wrist, it actually wears really well because lug distance is only 46mm 👍🏽

The rest of your life is a long time.

Do you really believe you’ll still be wearing this watch in 50 years?

considering many people get by on seikos and citizens that they wear for decades he certainly could. The illusion that it has to be a rolex or omega that lasts you a life time is grade A luxury brand marketing.

It wasn’t a critique on the quality of the watch.

I heard their chrono sold out immediately. Got glowing reviews and such. I would like to buy from this brand (I'm Korean) but I'm more drawn to looks of their first watch. But much prefer the movement in your model. So I'm waiting. With the success of their latest, I'm hoping they come out with a fourth watch soon!

Ah yes I understand! I'm really curious what will be next!

Love my Pitzmann II and III ❤️

Congrats on your new watch, IMHO is it a long of watch for the money and an excellent alternative to something like a Rolex OP 👍🏽

Thanks for sharing this side by side picture. I expected the III to be bigger but it looks really good! Also the green on the II looks stunning.

Now you're just nitpicking someone's phrasing, how about just wish the guy congrats on his new watch?
